For pickups, choose a busy public spot in daylight. Many people meet at supermarket car parks or police station car parks. Bring a friend if you can.

Prefer traceable payment. Be wary of overpayment scams, requests to ship before payment clears, or pressure to move off-platform. Never share banking logins or one-time codes.
Inspect before you pay
Check the item matches the listing — condition, photos, and description. If something feels off, you're allowed to walk away.

Use our messaging so there's a record. Be cautious of anyone pushing you to text, email, or use another app straight away.
Report anything dodgy
See a fake listing, a wholesaler, or suspicious behaviour? Report it. Reports help protect the whole community and feed our trust system.
Check the seller's reputation
Look at the seller's Kiwi Trade Score, ratings, and account age before you commit. Genuine, verified Kiwis build trust over time.
