  • Profile details: location, avatar, and a contact email for admin or buyers where you choose to provide it.
  • Listing content: titles, descriptions, photos, prices, and trade history.
  • Messages exchanged with other users.
  • Technical data: device, browser, and usage information to keep the site secure and working.

2. How we use it

  • To run the marketplace — show listings, enable messaging, and process trades.
  • To build trust — reputation scores, verification, and fraud prevention.
  • To contact you about your account, listings, or important changes.
  • To keep used.kiwi safe and to comply with the law.

3. Children's information

used.kiwi/kids is designed to protect children. Children never expose real photos of themselves (cartoon avatars only), and personal details and exact locations are not shown publicly. An Authorised Person (a parent or guardian) reviews and approves children's listings and messages. See How Kids works.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share only what is necessary: with other users to complete a trade (for example, what's shown on your public profile), with service providers who help us run the platform, and where required by law.

5. Storage and security

Your data is stored on secure, managed infrastructure with access controls and encryption in transit. We take reasonable steps to protect it, though no system is completely secure.

6. Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us.

7. Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet legal and operational requirements. You may request deletion of your account.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified on the site.
